The call for the "SIdM Award 2024", organized by SIdM, has been published. The deadline for submission of theses is April 30, 2024. Dissertations on a musicological or ethnomusicological topic discussed from a.y. 2020-21 to the present can compete.

The volume "Scrivere a più voci. Alla ricerca della notazione perfetta" ("Writing in multiple voices. In the search of the perfect notation") by Michele Epifani and Francesco Rocco Rossi is out. We are very pleased to announce the publication of Federica Rovelli's volume "Oltre i limiti. Le Sonate dall’op. 90 all’op. 111" ("Beyond the Limits. The Sonatas from Op. 90 to Op. 111"). This is the latest volume, fresh off the press, in the SIdM series "Le Sonate per pianoforte di Beethoven" ("Beethoven's Piano Sonatas") directed by Guido Salvetti.

The Wonderful Encounter of Music and Poetry") by Massimo Privitera, the third volume of the SIdM series "Scoprire la musica. Scritture, strumenti, pratiche, saperi" ("Discovering Music. The volume "Vedere i suoni. Uno sguardo sugli strumenti musicali" ("Seeing Sounds. A look at musical instruments") by Donatella Melini. It is the second volume in the SIdM series "Scoprire la musica. Scritture, strumenti, pratiche, saperi" ("Discovering Music. Writings, Instruments, Practices, Knowledge").
